Add a Little Opera to Your Violin!
Created by Manhattan jewelry designer HyeJun Park and Metropolitan Opera violinist Katherine Fong, Luxitune fine tuners are hand-crafted from genuine Swarovski crystals and precious metals. Starting with fine, Hill-style single prong adjusters, favored by most professional violinists and violists who use loop-end strings, HyeJun Park crafts each Luxitune tuner individually. Because she uses traditional metalsmithing techniques, with strong solder joints, each tuner is not only beautiful, but safe and dependable. Easy to install yourself, or by your luthier.
Note: For loop-end strings only. Will not work with ball-end strings.

About Luxitune
Metropolitan Opera violinist Katherine Fong had long sought an intersection between two loves: the beauty of the violin and the glamour of fashion. At a reception following one of her summer New York chamber music performances, she met the jewelry designer HyeJun Park, whose extensive background in both fine art and fashion, along with a budding interest in violin and classical music, made for an instant bond between the two artists. As the conversation unfolded, the signs at the intersection became crystal clear. HyeJun went home to her sketchbooks and workbench, and soon delivered to Katherine the first decorated Pavé Ball tuner. It was received with such enthusiasm, Katherine and HyeJun joined forces to create their new company, Luxitune. Demand for these elegant adornments spread quickly through the MET Orchestra, and to violinists and violists around the globe. Violin soloist Chee-Yun, now a spokesmodel for Luxitune, plays a 1708 Stradivari with a gold and iridescent Luxitune Pavé Ball tuner. All Luxitune models are available in a variety of color combinations and can be easily interchanged by the player - while Katherine's favorite is still her original Pavé ball, cues are sometimes taken by mood, wardrobe, and musical repertoire.
