Trade-in Credit for Franz Hoffmann instruments
- Violin/Viola - $50
- Cello - $200
- Bass - $300
Trade-In Credit for All Other Full-Sized Instruments (Non-Franz Hoffmann)
100% of the original purchase price (minus reconditioning fee) may be applied towards your next instrument provided that:
- An instrument of greater value is purchased.
- The instrument being traded in has been maintained and is free of any significant damage such as cracks, excessive varnish wear, etc.
Trade-In Credit for All Other Fractional* Instruments (Non-Franz Hoffmann)
70% of the original purchase price may be applied towards your next instrument provided that:
- An instrument of equal or greater value is purchased.
- The instrument being traded in has been maintained and is free of any significant damage such as cracks, excessive varnish wear, etc.
*Fractional is anything below 7/8 violin/cello, 15" viola, or 3/4 bass.
Reconditioning Fees
The reconditioning fee will cover the cost of restoring the instrument to sellable condition. This could include, but is not limited to cleaning, string replacement, bridge replacement, fingerboard maintenance, and open seams. Any extensive damage such as excessive varnish wear, damaged edges/corners, or cracks may result in a reduction of Trade-In Credit. Condition is determined by Shar Music luthiers at time of Trade-In. Trade-In Terms & Conditions
- Trade-In Credit may only be applied toward the purchase of the same type of instrument (Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass) of equal or greater value.
- Trade-In credit from multiple instruments may not be combined toward a single instrument purchase.
- Trade-In Credit may only be applied toward the instrument price and may not be applied to the outfit portion of the new purchase.
- Trade-In Credit may not be applied toward, nor will be accepted from, electric instruments, guitars, consigned instruments, cases, bows, or other accessories or supplies.
- Shar Music reserves the right to refuse a Trade-In due to excessive wear, damage, or any other condition at Shar Music's sole discretion.
- Trade-In Credit may not be combined with any other discount or promotional offer, Public School Teacher/Non-Profit pricing, or any other discount/sale offer. Shar Music gift certificates may be used toward your purchase.
- Your Trade-In must be returned to Shar Music within 14 days of your new instrument purchase to qualify for Trade-In Credit. Upon receipt and processing of your Trade-In, you will be refunded the amount of your Trade-In credit. You are responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.
- Shar Music reserves the right to change all policies at any time at Shar Music's sole discretion.
