The foundation of every American Case is the multi-layered wood shell, manufactured in a high-tech facility to assure stable strength. All Eagle cases are loaded with features: durable oxford cloth cover, subway handle with non-slip grip, matte silver-tone hardware, large, heavy D-rings, jumbo vapor bottle, sensitive mechanical hygrometer, four bow holders, large extra-padded handle, hidden string tube and adjustable dual shoulder straps.
A choice of two solid velvet interior colors: Deep red and medium blue. Fits one violin and one standard-patterned viola from 15 1/2" to 16 1/2" (Tertis patterns to 16")

The case fits one violin and one viola as advertised. There is room for rosin and spare 2032 batteries, but no room for my shoulder rests. The case seems sturdy enough, but I've had it a couple weeks.
Well built, solid case with good room for storage and large music pocket
Good quality side and end handles, along with secure gromits protect your instruments. This case is comfortable to carry by hand or with straps. The wooden shell gives my instruments substantial protection. My hope will be to see velcro neck straps, a second lid ribbon, and perhaps a little pizzazz with an additional color added inside the red case - maybe the bow ribbons in white? VIOLA players get ignored in the pretty department!! It would be such a pleasure to see brown or navy, or wheat, or a patterned canvas on the outside for more than just aesthetics: The truth is that it would be easier to spot your case if someone is walking out with your instruments!
