The Bach Cello Suites are widely regarded as among the best music written for a solo instrument, and as a result they have been transcribed for a very wide variety of other instruments. Rediscovered and popularized by Pablo Casals a century ago, these suites vary greatly in difficulty and style. As a result, developing cellists tend to spend a great deal of time with these suites over the course of their education.

Bowings and fingerings are great too

Well bound and nice quality print. I’d like to see better annotations for recommended bowings and fingerings. This editor leaves a lot open to interpretation, which would be perfect for an advanced player.

This is a BEAUTIFUL edition of the cello suites, and will help any amateur feel the appropriate awe when being handed her/his first copy of this music. And I'm no Bach scholar, but the bowings and notes are much more accurate to accepted performance practices than the majority of other editions I've seen.
