The back is of two pieces of maple cut on the quarter of narrow width flaming descending from the center joint. The ribs and scroll are of similar maple. The top is of two pieces of spruce cut on the quarter of narrow-medium width grain. The varnish is orange-brown over a golden ground.
Polish maker Bronek Cison currently works at the William Harris Lee shop in Chicago. He studied under the tutelage of master maker Andrzej Bednarski and, after 10 years of running his own shop, immigrated to the US. Sound quality and playability are Cison's primary concerns in making. His instruments are highly regarded and played by professional musicians across the nation.
