Bow Hair Quality is not Good

I used this bow for years and liked it. However as of this year 20023 the quality of the bow hair has greatly diminished. The hair is brittle and breaks easily not giving the sound and longevity I am used to. I will probably not buy them again but resort to having them rehaired.

Not a good bow for young violinists

I purchased this bow for my daughter's 1/10 size violin. I am a violinist and teacher myself and I do not like this bow at all. It is bulky and heavier than other bows. It is also much more difficult to turn the adjusting screw and I can already tell that the hair tension has been compromised after only 6 months of use.

Cheap

I heard Shar buys cheap stuff from China. This confirms it. Probably has Coronavirus too!

Meh...

These bows are junk! Iíve got a $10 Cecilio bow (wood!) and this one I got second hand. It feels cheap, it has no life in it. The only good thing about it is that the button is nice and sturdy. Not worth $10 let alone $45!

Great bow for a beginner, even an intermediate player!

I purchased this bow for my daughter in size 1/2, then 3/4 later. For being a picky child, she did not complain about the bow at all. Now she just moved up to the full size violin, and she requested to have the same bow!
