Though Max Bruch's 2nd concerto is vastly overshadowed by his 1st, it is no less beautiful and powerful. It truly is a masterpiece and it ought to be played and performed more often! This edition by Leopold Auer is the definitive one. You can hear it come to life in historic recordings from two of his most famous pupils - Jascha Heifetz and Mischa Elman.
