Clean sound with strong overtones for 3/4 strings

I normally use Evah’s, but wanted to give these a try. On my 1780 tyrolean:
G: clear with some overtones. Not as ringing as Evah, especially in the stratosphere.
Silver D: awesome. Better than standard Evah’s. This could be my new string choice for D.
A: weak. Clear difference in tone/projection. Not terrible…just weak.
E: the 10 minute struggle to remove the attached ball was worth it. This E rings in a good way. Clear projection in the stratosphere

This was my first venture back to dominant strings since high school. Overall, I was impressed with the silver D and E, and could tolerate the G. The A was abnormally weak on my violin.

I’d give these a try, keeping in mind that they may not be as balanced as Evah’s (tho I like that the tension isn’t as high).

Sound great on my instrument!

Since purchasing my instrument, I've experimented with different strings and now can certainly say these are the best! Really loud but warm

Did not work out for me

The E right off the bat I didn't like. It was very midrange heavy and did not have much "shine" to it. It was very focused and forward and ear piercing. Dull and lifeless, but it felt great and didn't have much bow noise. A started out hollow and metallic sounding but after a short time it broke in and turned into a string I liked. I really like it 4th position and up- the sound rounds out and it communicates vibrato well. However, the first position notes are a little too thin for me. D is pretty similar- started out hollow and metallic like the A, but less so. I found the D and A to be great strings, if a little thin at times. The G is a different story. The main issue I have is that the position playing (4th+) gets very focused, cold, lifeless, bow noisy, and sounded choked if played lightly. The E string I can see working out for some players, but the G was such a disappointment. For this reason I wouldn't recommend this set.
