Dominant Rosin for Violin and Viola

All other rosins have given me a lot of bow noise, including the more expensive ones - leatherwood, cecilia among others. This is the smoothest, best sounding rosin. Look no further! Pirastro goldflex also gave me smooth sound, but was much more muted and quieter sounding than the Dominant.

I typically advise my students to buy a good quality rosin. This rosin works well. I've used it with Vision, Dominant and Tonica's and had excellent results. It does wear off after good practice. Another reason I took off a star was I noticed the rosin was making my bow hair red

I was a 'tad' reluctant about getting this rosin at first -- the advertisement came at me like someone selling a used car... But I figured, 'What-the-hey?' So far it does as advertised if not better! So far the tone, resonance, everything about the sound of both my violins (one with Dominant strings the other with Pro Arte) is luscious & delicious! I am shocked this rosin is drawing such wonderful sound and lighter rosin than I am accustomed to. I live in a very arid part of the U.S. and dark rosins usually rule! I do have to reapply more frequently and I hope that in the future this formula is improved so that it stays on the bow longer, but other than that I am pleasantly surprised!

This rosin is a piece of crap. Dont even think about buying it. Within the first 3 weeks of purchase. IT cracked 3 places. And the advertisements about working well with dominant rosin are a joke. The rosin I got at the local music store sounds better on the Dominant strings. Dont even think about buying this. IT is a waist of you your money.
