DANIEL SEYMOUR
Best version of Dvorak Violin Concerto

The clarity of the print is unmatched, the score is very easily readable and the piano part is excellent - it shows detailed instrumentation so the performers know which instrument would be playing the specific part in the orchestra. Compared to the international edition, this Barenreiter part shows much more information, including several spots where Joachim himself wrote an ossai version (the triple stops in the first movement) and also a few spots near the ending of the third movement. The history and information that is shared at the beginning of the Barenreiter is incredibly useful and interesting - what an amazing purchase.
