Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold Rosin for Violin and Viola

I needed something new. I have Evah greens on my instrument and I've used the gold, but gold on my violin is a bit too mellow for me. The greens are perfect. I tried Andrea Green rosin and it killed my bow's reaction and I reverted back to an old cake of cheap stuff I'd melted several times for my daughter and it was years old.
I tried the EV Gold rosin for the 1st time during a rehearsal and before the downbeat I was sold.
It's like the rosin was made for the strings. Who knew? Lol
I kept praising the rosin so much my stand partner, who uses EV Gold strings, asked to try it before the 2nd half.
It was like he got a new and better instrument during the break! Absolutely beautiful sound! He legit bought some online before he went home. But Shar was sold out. He didn't wait for stock and ordered elsewhere. It's that nice!

The product is outstanding and I love it. However, for almost a $10 shopping fee, I expected it in a day or two. Took over a week! Don’t get me wrong, it was packaged extremely well, but the lag in delivery time soured me.

I use these strings on my violin and they give a sound that is not at all harsh. Pensive tunes sound so sweet. I use steel strings on an electric violin to create another voice voice for other tunes.

Very satisfied with the rosin for my EPG strings on violin.

The cake is a little darker than my last cake: I prefer it this anyway.
Even though it was darker I didn't find it particularly special for my viola (perhaps if I used EP strings on viola, I would change my mind).

Note: I'm rating it by quality. The rosin was very beautiful, the quality was phenomenal it was cased very well, totally recommend it (If your a Violin and, or Viola player)!
