Henze - Sonate Viola and Piano Accompaniment - Simon Obert
REVIEW VIDEOS
Hans Werner Henze (1 July 1926 – 27 October 2012) wrote his Sonata for Viola and Piano at 19 years old having already gone through military service and been held as a prisoner of war. This work is heavily influenced by neo-classicism and above all, the work of Hindemith, which is clearly reflected in the structure and content of the sonata.
