Ingles Instrument Stand - for Violin/Viola

I have one of these from over 20 years ago and love it. I ordered another and they have changed the manufacturer. The "A"Frame doesn't open wide enough and it is crazy wobbly. Sending it back and will need to figure out a new option. The one in the Shar picture is the old one. The metal and bow hook are all thinner. The new one it is all a little thicker than pictured.

I have an Ingles violin stand that I purchased 25 years ago and I love it. I bought this one thinking it would be just as nice but it was not. The base of the stand is not stable, doesn't open wide enough and wobbles on any surface that is not carpeted. Also the hook that hold the bow is fat and makes it hard to easily place the bow there.

Very secure and sturdy. I really enjoy using this

I love my original Ingles stand. My new stand is not the same. The feet are a full 2 inches closer together and the stand is not as sturdy as the original. It's still a good stand, just not as sturdy.

"We like this stand a lot, it has a lot of adjustabilities and feels very sturdy. The only thing I would wish different is if the legs could lock in the outward position. I had some black foam that fits pretty well between the legs to give me some extra peace
of mind. I am still giving it 5 stars because I don't think that it would matter for stability."
