Reasons why I love using Practicing is for the Birds with my students:
1. The page layout - plenty of room for me to write specific assignments, nicely divided into warm-up, scales, repertoire, & other.
2. Seven columns, labeled Day1 through Day 7, for student to put checkmarks on each specific item on the days that they practiced each item. It really helps us to notice which things we are avoiding, which means maybe there’s something we don’t understand thus we can address it during our lesson.
3. Sturdy spiral binding allows the book to lay flat, and the front & back covers are substantial enough that they last for a year.
4. Most students adore the cute stickers that are included on the last two pages of the book, with room on each page to affix the stickers.
5. Delightful artwork!!
6. A full page of blank staff paper for each week.

The organizer is well thought out, well organized with sections. It is easy to browse through the assignments, progress and keeps track on practices. We are ready to purchase our 4th copy! I absolutely loves the stickers, especially the bird playing the
violin. It is a fun bonus.

At one level the practice organizer is essential to track progress and maintain continuity from week to week. It is especially useful when a music instructor utilizes several books for instruction to cover repertoire, technique, etudes, scales and any
custom instructor-created handouts. At another level, this notebook has a nice layout and design that is much better than a standard ruled notebook or pad. My daughter likes the Practice Organier because her school uses a similar system to track her academic
classroom work on a daily basis. The organizer also creates a sense of responsibility in her to complete her daily practice and document it -- a lifelong skill to have for any task. The stickers are for fun and are optional -- they put a smile on the young
students for a job well done. I recommend this Practice Organizer.

This has really helped my daughter organize her practice schedule and areas she needs to focus on. There's a sense of accomplishment with every box checked and she gets stickers for week of good practice.

I have used this organizer for the last 3 years for both of my daughters. Each book is set up for one year's worth of pages. It serves as a fun visual guide for students and excellent goal maker for parents. Believe it or not, my daughters will do anything
to earn those check marks and little stickers as a reward. You can get as creative as you want with the check boxes and stickers. Page is divided by categories (warm up, scales, techniques, repertoire, orchestra/quartet pieces) and this helps students/parents
organize the practice for each day. Since whole week's worth is on one page, this helps us set a goal for each day and for each week as well. Check boxes serves as a visual incentive for students to see how much progress they are making and how hard they worked
to get there. My girls and I enjoy using this organizer year after year and will probably continue to use them for many more years to come.
