Peak SMS-50 Music Stand

I'm very happy with this stand. It is much better than I expected. Light and stable, plenty of room for my book, metronome, and tuner. I also like the height. I'm 5'7" and it has plenty of height for me to play standing with my music at eye level. It folds easily and sets up easy. A great portable stand that I would buy again and highly recommend.

This stand is so great when you want a professional-looking stand to take with you, but you don't want the hassle of carrying the standard one. It is light and compact and looks so much nicer than the normal wire compact stands. I recommend this stand to everyone who plays professionally or who just wants to look like they do.

My son loves the ease of using it. We also purchased the I-phone clip on holder which he really likes.

When I got this stand I was very happy . I had a very tall student at that time , and the stand worked out just great . But not for long . Very soon it started to slide down in the top section . I tried to fix it with a tape , rubber band .... Nothing
helped . So , I believe , the new one WILL work properly . Yes , I want to buy the same kind again .

The plastic folding sections are very stiff. It feels like you may snap off a section. After a period of time, the plastic hinges on the right hand folding section snapped off one by one. I have had this stand for only 18 months. I purchased it from my local string instrument store, not from Sharmusic. On the positive side, the stand is easy to assemble and disassemble. It is very stable and it is easily transportable in the carry bag. I am about to purchase a traditional metal stand from Sharmusic instead.
