i recently asked Shar their opinions of several different G and C strings for the cello. and these were one of them. i have a Larsen A and D on top of this particular cello, and it needed more support in the bass strings. I put both the G and C on, and after settling in the sound was rich, full, and fairly powerful. What was interesting is that as they are so resonant, they seem to be making the whole cello ring out more. Since i was looking also at price points, i am very happy with these strings and recommend them to folks looking for a even-ness of all four strings. i am leaving the same review for both strings. And i also have never used these strings before now.
