Two days ago I probably would written a glowing review. But sitting in the sun on an 86° day for twenty minutes was all or took for the tip to melt and bend irreparably. My wooden bow works just as well as it did when I got it twenty years ago and I know it can sit in the sun she twenty minutes.
The bow came broken in two in shipment
I am a private teacher and had recommended these bows as they seemed like decent student bows. However, a student just brought one to their lesson and the frog basically collapsed after one year. I told the student to get in touch with SHAR, and they just said it was past warranty. I've never seen a bow do anything like this before, so buyer beware. The line about "the engineering guarantees longevity" apparently means...one year. I'm disappointed to hear that SHAR didn't offer anything other than "oh. too bad for you." as customer service, as well. There seems to be no info about getting in touch with Presto itself online.
This bow creates a smooth, gentle sound. It's great for the price. However, the leather winding began to peel off after about a year.
