PRESTO® bows are only made with aerospace-grade fibers and resins. The engineering process guarantees longevity by eliminating "creep," a flaw in carbon-fiber manufacture that can warp a bow or diminish camber over time. All bows are thoroughly inspected, meaning only bows with the best craftsmanship are sent to our customers.

mixed feelings

On my previous viola this bow worked wonders and reminded me strongly of the coda bow diamond gx, quick response, excellent spicatto. On the viola I have now this bow frustrates me to no end, it's sluggish and too bouncy. But on both of my instruments it did pull out a pretty decent tone. Test out this bow before you buy it!

Love it

I love this bow! It was a step up from my beginnerís bow that came with my viola. Itís very comfortable for me to play with. My teacher liked it.

I AM IMPRESSED

I gave Shar the impossible task of coming up with a great sounding bow that I could use with both my violin and viola. I feel that they have done it. 68 grams; violin bows are normally 60 grams, and viola bows 70 grams. It gives better tone than my Presto ovation violin bow, and I like it better than my Presto Audition viola bow. Previously, I had been using the Audition with my violin, but this is an upgrade. Yea! My experience: I am a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, banjo, piano, violin, viola, and have played bass and drums. I am fairly fanatical about tone. Note: Below this model, I feel the quality may not be at this level; above this model, you may be paying a lot of money for something you don't really need. I like it.

long time amateur violinist / violist

I was looking into upgrading my Presto Ovation viola bow for a Fiddlerman Pro, and then a CodaBow GX. To my amazement, I prefer the Presto over the Coda GX (lacking in clarity), and the Fiddlerman Pro was far more expensive, but no better in sound. I returned
the Fiddlerman Pro, and did not buy the Coda GX. The presto (both violin and viola versions) will remain my primary bows. I am not into bouncing bow technique that much, but look for tone above all else.
