The Resonans has been a favorite of players and teachers for over 60 years. Designed in Sweden by violin maker Elgard Ungh, patented in the 1950s, Resonans shoulder rests are made in the USA. Simple design, with a steel foundation, the Resonans is easy to adjust by slight bending, to conform to a wide variety of instrument patterns. Velvet covered cushioned pad area, for comfort. Soft surgical tubing covers the feet, to protect the instrument. Height is not adjustable – select low, medium, or high, based on your needs (fractional sizes and viola are available in low and medium heights only).
