Microphone for Tuner

This is a great little tool for anyone who plays in an orchestra. I'm one of those that do not have perfect pitch and therefore relies on an electronic turner to tune my instrument. But trying to tune in an orchestra setting is a bit of a challenge when everyone is also tuning thier instrument. For the price and accuracy, this is a must have.

I use these in a middle school orchestra classroom. They work great - until they break. They are on the fragile side. I replace them frequently. I count them as a kind of ongoing expense, but ultimately worth it.

I play in a small orchestra and this tuner helps me tune my violin while others are warming up or talking. I had no trouble attaching it to the bridge of my violin. The cord is long, but that too is an advantage if your tuner is sitting on the music stand and you are standing behind your chair. I think this is very helpful especially for the price.

I have purchased a lot of these (probably close to 50) to use in a middle school orchestra classroom. They do work really nicely with our Korg tuners, but the cord frays very easily and they generally do not last the entire school year. I have only 15-20
that are still working. I think I'm going to try reinforcing them with electrical tape to see if that helps the lifespan because they do work very well for all string instruments and are definitely reasonably priced.

I had never used a clip on tuner until I bought this one. I found it's helpful for me to use this to tune during a noisy rehearsal. I chose it because it was the cheapest one. I've had it a few months and it works fine for me. I plug it directly into my Korg TM-50.
