Our pre-owned violin has scratches on the top, but otherwise it is a great beginner violin
I wasn’t sure how to update my previous review on this item, so I am writing a new one. This email is based on the customer service (or lack thereof). I wrote to customer service several times regarding the “minor blemished” instrument (pictured in my previous review on this item), which are MAJOR blemishes. I received an initial response but no follow up and am currently being ghosted by the customer service representative. I am feeling very misled on this item and would be very hesitant to purchase this “minor blemished” instrument if I were anyone reading these reviews.
Purchased this 1/4 violin for my 6 year old son who has been playing for a year. I am an orchestra teacher and was very excited to see this instrument at such a great price, as I’ve purchased other blemished instruments from Shar and they’ve always been great. This instrument, however, is VERY scratched up. I knew it wouldn’t be a new instrument, but was honestly very surprised at the amount of scratches were on this instrument. I was preparing myself for a couple scratches, but was disappointed with the look of it (the back of the instrument looks like someone had carved crosses into it.
