I purchased this hoping to be able to leave my heavy violin case at home when I take my bow to be rehaired, This case could safely transport an inexpensive bow, but I would never trust it with a good one. I was very surprised that the case offered no tetherings to keep the bow in place. The case is not hard. It simply unzips half way, and there is no way to really get into the interior of the case. The cost of return, which I did, was ten dollars. Be sure that you want this before you buy.
