I realize these are likely supposed to be painted or varnished, but I have my 5th graders sign these at the end of the year as it comes. Mine arrived dirty, with black smudges all over it as well as large purple pen marks on the top and bottom. Since these are advertised as plaques and not something to be varnished and used as part of a violin, I’m a bit disappointed in the quality.
I have purchased the Shar violin top for the past 8 years. Each year, we have a senior art student paint the violin top, and our seniors sign the violin at their final concert. We have 8 years worth of violin tops in our classroom as wall art, and students always look for their name and graduation year when they come back to visit.
