Super Sensitive
Wolf Eliminator for Violin and Viola
REVIEW VIDEOS
Howling, stuttering, and warbling – they're all different terms for the harsh repeating wuh, wuh, wuh sound that your violin or viola can sometimes make. This occurs when the vibration of a particular string clashes with the vibrating body of the instrument – beginners often think they’re doing something wrong when they hear this sound. Not true. All instruments have a certain “wolf tone” to them.
The only way to control a wolf tone is with a tone eliminator. This Violin/Viola Wolf Tone Eliminator is polished, rustproof, and durable – with an interior rubber sleeve that will fit around your offending violin string. Adjustable to reduce or eliminate a wolf tone to your specifications.
How to Use: Choose the string that needs the wolf eliminator. Between the bridge and the tailpiece, choose a place on the string the wolf eliminator should go. These two steps may involve trial and error. Ensure the screw points toward the instrument. Fit the string into the metal/rubber slit; the wolf eliminator should hang independently. Tighten the screw until the eliminator no longer moves along the string.
