Yasuda, Martha - Hymn Melodies For String Orchestra / Quartet - Digital Download

A lovely, intermediate rendition of two famous hymns - All Hail the Power and A Mighty Fortress. There are two verses of each hymn, with the second verse being more elaborate. Harmonic freshness, rhythmic drive and ornamental embellishment abound, with each part being equally challenged. The bass part is optional, with string quartet also sounding quite nice.
